exclude any pretax savings such as 401k from the income. Include post tax stocks. General rule for non tech was atleast 20% savings. Always wonder how tech savings % be #msft #google #meta #amazon #apple #big tech
85% post tax, 60% pre tax
Wow!!’ Any dependents or kids? Good. I can’t imagine saving 85% in million year
Inspiring though. Hopefully we could reach more than 50%. Don’t include 401k savings as it is pretax and screw up post tax calculations.
45% with wife and 1 kid, single salary
Nice
Whats your tc
52%
First of all, not sure why 401K should be excluded from savings, that makes no sense. But anyway, to answer your question, 75% post-tax savings excluding 401k. Bay Area dink couple.
Don’t want pre tax savings convolute post tax calculations. In theory most tech employees anyway save max of 401k. So, to keep post tax savings clean, avoid any pre tax savings. Wow!!! 75% is impressive
50% of post tax base...
And 100% post tax stocks? That is impressive and depending on size of stock it could be 50-80% savings. Looks like most blind users are FIRE folks. May need to learn.
no RSUs. private company. have some options. base of 170 and 15% bonus so 195TC usually use part of the bonus for random shit though. don't save 100% of it. I live in lcol so don't have to pay SF prices to live.
64% post tax, bay area, double income.
Single income (family of 4) - burn all of my post tax base + 10k-20k more for travel. Save most of bonus and stocks. Savings about 50%.
85 - 90% post tax, 60-65% pre tax
We must live the same lifestyle 😂 cheap rent and paid off car?
Lol, yes, I got the car all cash as I don't use loans at all. The rent is ok for the location I live in. Not a lot of investments though, it's mostly in cash.
