I'm offered to choose between two teams at Google. Either one that is medium-sized (6 engineers) on a well established product Or one with currently 1 senior engineer looking to hire new engineers on a new product not yet available to the public. Both products are equally interesting. Which team should I pick as a first Career move?
I'd say pick the well established product. Chances are high that the new product gets the axe in a year.
take risk.. go to new product.. learn from senior.. know how to do things from scratch.. this is the right time to take risks..
:( I'm not new grad but an l3 been stucking at team match for a while. What do the teams you have offer from do? I've heard team matching is hard at G now
I'd pick the larger team, more mentors to guide you and a dash of project security, one less thing to worry about and longer time to build relationships with team mates.

Does it matter? It's Google.. If you want to have real fun join a start up with 7 people
It helps to work at an established company for a while to get some perspective. Startups may not be the best first job out of school, unless you are the founder.
Yes you are right, startups may not hire fresh grads as well.. I would consider then being with a team of 7, you will get learn from others quickly
