I think we need to start trolling the “tier” word. Every other blind post is asking about prestige and tier.
I'm curious if this is a youngster thing, an Indian thing, an American thing or a mix of all of the above. The whole concept of "prestige" sounds funny this side of the pond.
Its not that I care, but it matters next job hop. Yadda yadda about how it's the project that is important--what a bunch of BS.
The irony is that none of our jobs are prestigious. Prestige, to me, is being a tenured professor in academia or a successful artist. Nothing prestigious about being a programmer or doctor, where 95%+ of roles can be easily filled by people who made low-risk life choices. There are exceptions, of course, but I assume no prestige when interacting with people in this domain. Implying that tech roles are prestigious is a low prestige behavior that reeks of insecurity.
Or a professional athlete that manages to make the 60 person cut out of hundreds of thousands of players each year.
I'd agree with this if by "successful artist" you're including streamers and Influencers.
@.@ what
Clearly it’s part of the data tier.
This is a pretty dumb question. Heard great things about them, that work is interesting, WLB is alright, and comp is very decent with their employee stock purchase plans on top of RSU.
