Hired a designer. Gave them a title (lead) two levels (maybe three) higher than they’re functioning at. How do you let your superiors know this person will not perform? What happens if we keep hiring others under this person? Will our bar be set too low for hiring standards? Will these lower level employees just design circles around their inexperienced lead? Should I care? Should I just let the company flounder with poorly designed products?

What do you think is wrong with a kid who got rejected by 9 colleges?
It will force the company to lower the hiring bar because even if you successfuly hire someone decent, they will be demotivated and try to leave. I had a colleague who is very very smart, passionate, hardworking and he left the company in a month lol
