When working at a company, what things do you get involved in to learn skills needed to run your own company? Who do you build relationships with? I've gotten involved in the sales processes so far.
For me specifically, it was hardware. The more you know about the different teams, the better you can manage. It also helps if you've started other small businesses to get a sense for how general operations are run.

Yep, sales is the most important, assuming you’re an engineer. Then product. You should have a strong product focus if you want to start your own tech startup.
Product. Specifically how to build a product that you can sell.
