Offer evaluation: Amazon or Broadcom
Accepted another offer, highly demotivated to keep working (I have a bunch of stuff to do outside of work), how to handle the remaining weeks in daily stand-ups and so on? I'm looking for pro advices
Say you’re busy refactoring documentation
Skip the meetings
Really? My manager would ask "why did you skip the meeting?" the first time I do it. It might create tension and conflict (i.e. more time taken from me to address it). I'd prefer something cleaner
Cleaner is probably better personally I’m fed up with amazon and this lifestyle that I frankly don’t give a shit
Running into technical issues with the implementation, it will take more hours on the task
Who the hell has daily stand ups? At most it should be 3x a week
Subscribed. I’m almost in the same boat. I’ll accept one of the offers I got by end of week, and I’ll need this pro advice for next 1 or 2 weeks 😂
Did u give 2 week notice?
Once you announce you’re leaving no one cares about you. Lets end this two week notice crap. Companies don’t give you two weeks notice when they lay you off. Just give a few days or a week’s notice. 2 weeks you’ll be bored out of your mind.
In Europe it's 4 weeks and it's brutal. When I left twitter those 4 weeks were full of spite on their side
Working through personal issues and not able to attend regularly
That's great
Time to “insist on the highest standards” and display “backbone; disagree and commit” during stand ups 😁. Your team mates might hate you but then you know you are leaving 😁
Unpopular advice: attend the meetings, try to pull yourself through the best way. Most peers/managers won't care if you nothing, some might tick of mf if you shit things. But not doing that can leave a lasting good impression, who knows when that set of people might be useful in future.
bullshit
? Like random stuff? "I'm debugging this issue" etc?
