Hello, I am Seattle based L6 PM and in the process of job change with focus on better WLB. I am in the process of onsite and offer stage with few of the top tech listed below. Apart from WLB, one of the critical decision point for me is paternity leave within 6 months from day of joining as my wife is expecting a baby by EOY. Can folks share what they know about the orgs listed below and if they give paid or unpaid paternity leave from Day 1(added my research details below, please correct me if otherwise): (Company) - (Duration, paid/unpaid, starting day #) Spotify - Twilio - Hubspot - Nvidia - Apple - Adobe - 16 weeks, paid, after 12 months of employment Atlassian - 20 weeks, paid, starting day 1 Google - 12 weeks, paid, starting day 1 LinkedIn - 12 weeks, paid, starting day 1 Meta - 16 weeks, paid, starting day 1 Microsoft - 12 weeks, paid, starting day 1 Salesforce - 12 weeks, paid, starting day 1 (but saw a lot of comments that it is team dependent!) #product #apple #adobe #atlassian #google #hubspot #linkedin #meta #microsoft #nvidia #shopify #salesforce #spotify #twilio
Spotify gives paternity from day 1 (six months to be taken within first three years)
Shopify
HubSpot offers 16 weeks starting day one
Research Cisco as they have very generous maternal/paternal time off policies
Okta - 18 weeks starting on day one
Salesforce is 26 weeks if you're the primary caregiver, so I've seen people switch as primary caregiver at 6 months when wife goes back to work and take 6 months off
