What was the feeling at Blizzard in anticipation to the release of Diablo Immortal? Was the company confident?

It's clear that the announcement of Diablo Immortal (the mobile game) is targeting the asian market, giving blizzard some extra presence there, but didn't Blizzard see the backlash coming for announcing a Diablo Mobile game at its north american conference, at the main stage? I would love to undeestand how blizzard hallway talks were like in anticipation for this release. PS: I know the game looks great and that Netease is probably doing a great job with the development of this game. I hold no grudge for them or Blizzard, to be clear.

It was a misstep it announcing it. But the numbers will hopefully justify it.

Not really, Blizzard is not diluting there IP with this launch and work is being done on other Diablo games per Wyatt so chill.
