I tried Linkedin and Dice. Barely getting anywhere. Feeling depressed with my job search. Been dragging on for about 4 months now YOE: 3 #layoffs #engineering #software #swe #jobsites
Apply directly on company sites
Are there specific advantages?
No , that goes to a huge email folder no one looks at unless other pipelines dry out. Which was the case pre 2020 but not anymore.
LinkedIn, but dm recruiters at the company that have openings .
they never answer lol
But at least they see it LinkedIn filtering tools are not as advanced as other platforms. It's a numbers game.
I swear by angel list / well found for startups
I'd honestly say registration with consultant/contract companies like Robert Half, etc. Is always a good thing when you aren't making any progress elsewhere. You can just sign up and passively have your account up there. I'm contract to hire 150k right now from having done that. No LC hard BS. But most make 70-110 from my understanding, but 'some money' is better than none.
I got a few offers earlier this year rom Hired and it's pretty low effort since you just setup your profile and recruiters reach out. Not sure how it'll be now though.
