Moving from Agency different country to core tech in US is a long leap to take. It will really depend on your design leadership capabilities and how you really manage people and strong evidence of that. Awards as far as i know, mean little to nothing when it comes to FANG

If you're on the younger side, expect 250-350. I don't see many older cd in tech, ageism will keep you out if you don't perfectly crush the interviews.

What’s your current TC and your worth will vary depending on the city you move to in the US.

Thanks guys I am 32 with good experience in leading creative teams, however my background is idea generation / concept creation and not design, so I am not a designer by myself. As for TC, salary back in my country was so low compared with us that I guess it’s not relevant to mention

Maybe low compared to US market. But, how many % higher than average was it back in Georgia?

Do you think marketing knowledge is transferrable to a different country? I immigrated to US in college wanting to be in Marketing. But it was extra difficult to compete with Americans because of my lack of understanding in American market and consumer values. I switched to something else. It’s extremely hard to get visa sponsored too. Of course, you prob have universal knowledge and skills in marketing but do you believe 100% of your competence will be transferrable? Genuinely curious

I don’t think he’s qualified to have a job here either. Georgia isn’t relevant to US.

Please don’t judge US by these snobs who want to know your TC. Most of them don’t understand TC in a different country won’t matter in the US at all. Having said that, I’d suggest talking to some people currently in product design in tech companies here to get a better sense of where your skill sets are. Try approaching them on LinkedIn. Also, don’t limit yourself for to FAANG.

TC or GTFO, because US salary is so high comparatively it's not relevant to mention....
