What would you do if you were early in your career again?
If you could restart your career with this foundation, where would you focus? 2 yoe as an associate PM focused on cloud (AWS, Azure) for an MSP. Boot camp maybe, that could lead you to SRE, cloud engineering, distributed systems work. Although it sounds like you could make it as a cloud / backend PM at the moment. Good luck either way!
Thanks! I’ve studied for my aws SA cert but a boot camp has also been on my mind. As for a cloud pm, I’ve gotten interest from Teradata so may pursue this. I’m just concerned my experience isn’t enough with what job postings are asking for.
I think that is a common sentiment in all job seekers. It may be that it is true, but don’t let that stop you. Approach jobs with optimism and a can-do attitude. I would recommend - if the question comes up of not enough experience, agree but insist that you are looking to learn.

I believe that the question itself is wrong. If you were to restart and do all the right things that you wish you had done earlier, then I am pretty sure there would be a bunch of bad experiences as well and you may end up asking yourself this right/wrong question again. You should rather focus on getting somewhere in the near future irrespective of your current situation.

I would LC and go to proper tech firms. Got in too late in the game.
