Considering buying in San Leandro's Estudillo Estates neighborhood. Does anybody live there and commute to work? What's SL like for a small young family? My main concerns about it are: slightly far away from BART, you have to cross some gnarly parts of Oakland to get there, there aren't a lot of parks in walking distance #housing
Oakland BART station is unsafe af! Stay away from it.
Blind will tell you anything north of Sunnyvale, Palo Alto, Fremont is 💩 Just get a feel of the neighborhood, check forums of people actually living there. Blind is just too biased at times
Check out Union city or Newark, better value, faster gentrification.
Too far from work:)
Bay o vista neighborhood is great. Off of Estudillo there are some great areas and walking distance to Chabot park and bay o vista Swim. With walking distance also to downtown SL. Uphill from drama and easy access to Castro valley shops.
Stay away from East Oakland
Move to El Cerrito, El Sobrante, East Richmond heights or annex area instead. I almost bought in San Leandro and so glad we went farther north. Lots of parks, great community. My friends near east Oakland feel trapped and unsafe.
What neighborhood are you in now ooc?
