Looking for info about what it’s like to work as a PM at Disney, specifically in the DMED org. WLB, leadership, day-to-day, comp for P3 level. Any feedback greatly appreciated.#
Going to start this August. All the interviewers I got a chance to interview with seems happy with the job. Some of them have worked for Disney more than 10 years.
Where and what in DMED matters, however, TC or GTFO 😜
Which product team in DMED?
Content Platforms
Haven’t worked with them directly but I know folks on the consumer products team that consumes the content. IMHO, your growth at Disney in an IC product role is dependent on your leadership at the director level—if you are given chances to work on great projects, you can have a lot of fun and make a big impact, but infrastructure teams often struggle to get any attention. You’ll be well paid, but anonymous, would be my first thought. It can be easy to move internally, however, so gauge whether this is a good foot in the door.
