What's next: current big 4 risk management
Been here for almost 3 yrs now, almost working 9-6. Boss pin me on the weekend as well. No WLB at all, don't see the future of my career. Luckily I'm in SF and have worked with a few tech clients, what should be my next move? Did anyone make the jump before?
Get out of big4. It's a joke. Go look at equivalent roles at tech.
Which parts of the job do you enjoy and which do you not? Trying to figure out whether a move to tech would help or hurt (it is far from a panacea and you may end up working a lot harder)
9-6 doesn't sound bad at all, especially considering it's at PwC. If the focus is on WLB, as PFAdjCash mentioned, switching to tech may actually make it worse... albeit with higher pay. Depends on what you want to do I guess.
9-6 is great WLB. If you said 7-7 then it would be bad but 9-6 is great for consulting.
