As a developer, I find App Review to be a frustrating, slow process. I’m wondering what the team is like and what their day-to-day operations are. How long does someone spend on a specific app? What’s happening when an app takes a long time to review? Any insight into what this team is like and how it operates is appreciated. Just genuinely curious. It’s so opaque from the outside.
App Reviewers average 60hr work weeks including weekends and holidays
Just spoke with a developer whose app was stuck in review for 8 weeks. Why on earth would that happen?
It's possible they submitted either a shitty app which get moved to different processes, a complex app that requires escalation, they did it wrong, they're exaggerating, who knows. That team works extremely hard, dare I say close to corporate slavery. 😂 Esp. in the beginning from what I hear. 24 hr days, no holidays and weekends, and fewer benefits and perks than other Apple teams.
