Every company has a GM function, if not explicitly then implicitly. At Facebook it is the PM - they drive the vision and strategy. At google it is the same. Uber used to be GMs become the product org too over. At Apple it is design/marketing At Netflix, which title drives the vision / strategy?
Director. Netflix doesn't have that many levels. Everyone starts at the senior level. They keep a high bar for any tech hires. Levels go senior >> manager >> director >> vp >> cxo
