Does Uber provide $300/month credit for Uber rides?
They've changed it. Older employees got $333 per month (at least in the US, who knows about overseas) which is useful for rides and eats. Those of us who are newer got 15 credits, each of which was worth the average price of a ride in your city in the last month. Each credit would be used up if even a single penny was used, and you couldn't stack them. There was also a 17% discount. As price cuts and Pool grew, the value decreased. At one point my credits were worth over $30, making me better off in some respects than the old system, especially with Eats. They've since--just in the last week--moved those of us in this system to a better one. Instead of 15 credits you get 15 * average ride price as a flat amount. It works just like the old system, just the dollar amount is different. In my case it's like $295 this month. All of these credits on all systems count as income if you use it, so they're not free. It's basically a big discount.
Why the fuck does this matter? 300 bucks is like 3600$ a year! Pocket change
i have $195 (sf) bc i joined after jan 2016 (new system lowered my credits. it was $225 before) .. coworkers joined 2 months earlier than me are getting $333 .. so unfair and one of the broken uber culture.
beat perk has been reading Uber blind
😂
important perk that no one mentions for some reason is that we have a permanent 17% off discount. this is applied before paying with your credits, effectively increasing your credit $ amount by ~20%
Best perk is being able to turn Uber around. 2nd to that, using credits on Uber Eats
The best park is the chance to work for Uber :)
That's what TK thinks when he lowballs everyone.
"Last mile ride" - they pay for Uber from train station to office. Does not count as regular income. Simple but useful.
Also free rides after 10pm from the office. Rarely used but it is nice
sounds like nothing but uber credit is really sweet lol
Depending on where you live it's closer to 200
