A friend of mine invests his money in Merill Lynch (to get additional rewards back) and opens multiple Premium Rewards and Cash Rewards Cards alongside more premium cards like Captial One Venture X or Chase Reserve to maximize his gains and returns. I'm a bit newer to the Credit Card game -- do you guys agree this is one of the best systems for credit cards to own? If not, what's your credit card system / plan like?
Citi Custom Cash 5% on the top spent category, no annual fee. Chase Freedom Flex & Discover 5% on quarterly categories, no annual fee. US Bank Cash+, choose 2 categories of your choice for 5%, and 1 category for 2%. Also no annual fee.
What are the limits of those? Bank of America custom cash is 5.25% on 2500/quarter if you have money in Meryl lynch
Depends what you’re looking for. Try to get to chase cards first though since you’ll be limited by 5/24 pretty quick. General thoughts Chase - good travel system Amex - good travel system BOA - good cash back Cap1X - good stand alone travel Bilt - good travel for rent/mortgage If you’re choosing between Amex and Chase, take a look at their transfer partners.
