Planning to leave AWS so I’ve been interviewing with GCP and Adobe. Today I was approached by a Recruiter for a Software Infrastructure Engineer role at Apple. Can anyone provide some insight into their culture? Do they actually promote work life balance? I’m just trying to figure out if it would be a waste of time to interview. #apple #interview #aws #amazon #amazonaws Update: Currently a DevOps Consultant with AWS Professional Services. TC: 140k
depends, do you code? most consultants are just support contractors at big tech
Yes, I’m a DevOps Consultant. I code almost daily but it depends on the engagement.
Apple has RTO policy
Ouch, this is already looking bad. Are they at least Hybrid?
3 days a week, Tuesday Thursday and a day picked by your group, we do Wednesday. I go in for a few hours those days, it's not like I ever interact in person anyways.
Hey man I’m also a DevOps Consultant at AWS. Happy to see someone from my Org. Do you know if there’s anything particular you have to do to be approached by Apple? Just curious since I only get recruiters from small companies
Honestly, I have no idea. My resume has been the same. I’ve turned Apple down for other roles in the past but it was because they tried to put me in Support Roles at the beginning of my career.
I'm interviewing for your current role soon, mind dm'ing more info about your process, the wlb, and why you're leaving?
What org? I worked there previously and can provide info if it’s the same org I was at.
Do you know anything about the Interactive Media Group?

How do I find out more about the internal teams? They spoke to me about the same role at 3 different locations Austin, Atlanta, and San Diego.
