When you look at Linkedin, do you think it’ll be there after 10years from now? Common verticals: 1. Social Media 2. Job Post/Application 3. Ads 4. LinkedIn for Learning (Hardly people use) What they do have is data, about millions of people worldwide, which might come to their rescue later. Now,if you compare it with Facebook, Facebook can launch FB for Professionals and add Jobs/Marketplace/Ads and add a Verification feature like Blind with work email to filter fake people. For FB, with most of the features already built and millions of users already there, it won’t be a tricky problem. Do you feel FB might join the party and beat LinkedIn in the long run? #linkedin #facebook #google #uber #amazon #microsoft #apple #oracle #coinbase #lyft #doordash #stripe #spotify #instacart #flipkart #compass #tech

BS at LinkedIn is the reasons why more and more people are joining Blind. Personally I use blind to get referral, DM people/manager from a company, Check openings in a company, preparation before interviews, help with TC negotiations and a lot more. Other than the recruiter reaching out part, I don’t even check LinkedIn these days.
I can read BS on blind and call it bullshit but can't do that on LinkedIn

U listed 4 things but none of them are main income source of LinkedIn. So do some real research than imagination.
I never mentioned these are income sources. I mentioned the verticals that are offered to end users and if FB can offer better in the long run. But since you picked it up, Please help me with the main income source of LinkedIn. Reason for this: I received an offer from LI and few others and based on their layoff last year, I wanted to understand at what stage LinkedIn is.
LinkedIn is in a very great state right now. Some vertical has 100% YoY growth and it’s a 10B revenue company. Of course 10b is not large compared to big names. Layoff only impact sales, engs are ok. Seriously, nobody try to find jobs at Fb, there are Indeed, if not LinkedIn. and no recruiter will use fb for sourcing candidates, it’s just inefficient. LinkedIn pretty much dominant the recruiting marketplace and no competitors. Saas is the main income. Backed by MSFT, FB has no chance as fb has no saas reputation/gene. Fb has job marketplace but not doing well. Fb has not interested in this either, they want metaverse
Commenting for better reach.
