What’s the max compensation I can get at these companies
I’m a software engineer in the Bay Area. Current TC is 150k at Facebook. In the summer, I may interview around and hop to another company. At that time I will have 2.5 years of experience. 1.5 years at a lesser known unicorn and 1 year at Facebook. Recruiters from these companies have reached out in the last few months and I can interview with them in the summer. Google Lyft Uber LinkedIn Twitter Microsoft Amazon Twilio I want to know the max TC I can expect from these companies assuming I do really well at interviewing and negotiating. I’ve asked the recruiters but they just say that it depends on a lot of stuff. Only the Lyft recruiter answered and he said 320k to 350k based on interview performance. Half paper money.

At L3 Google, the most I know is 300k. But it's an outlier. Usually 250k for 3 is upper bound.
How about switching to SWE at Facebook?
My comp won’t be re adjusted. I might do that though if the difference in TC isn’t that big. I like it here and promotion speed is quite fast here too compared to google.
Are you sure it won’t be re-adjusted? I have a friend who moved to SWE within Facebook last year and he was offered a bump in RSUs on par with what we see here on blind. He was a data engineer though. Not sure what difference is.
Are these places actually of interest to you? Figure out your worth, look at companies you generally give a fuck about (big ones or smaller) and make an adult decision.

I thought FB had good performance based bonus/refreshers? Why not switch to SWE first and give it a shot? If it doesn't work out, you can just hop.
You can’t predict which one will offer the highest. You have to get the offer first then make each company bid on you. If you only pass one company, that’s the highest you’ll get.

fb is the max if you dont consider paper money
Unfortunately I’m in enterprise engineering and my RSUs are a fraction of what SWEs get. Even if I transfer to SWE my RSUs won’t be readjusted.
