I think Quora could be one. Hotshot hype startup with freakishly high interview standards (mentioned in same breath as Palantir and MemSQL), product beloved by Silicon Valley founder VC types, now completely unmonetizeable clickbait cesspit of a site full of vacuous wannabe content creators who are worse than LinkedIn influencers. Forces you to sign in to see spam non-answers- the UX default to “recommended” results. Just a platform that completely fell off. #quora

I put enough commas in there. At least three
What are the options in this poll? Quora or Quora?
Didn’t make one because it’d be unanimously Quora
I don't even mind signing in to look at answers or even suffering bad UI (looking at you reddit mobile) but I just don't understand why half the links I click actually have zero answers to the question, or the link itself brings you to a page with completely different questions
Never understood this too. The preview in google would have the answer and when I click on it, it takes me to a page where the top is my question and everything below is links below with other questions and no answers anywhere.
Roblox.
Deets?
I’ve mostly heard good things about Roblox 🤔
Amazon. I literally cried at my desk.
Man who will join Quora in his right mind. There are only degenerate imbeciles lurking on quora asking all sort if insane questions and all the allegedly CEOs replying to those questions. I deleted my quora account since so much toxic and negative information was spread . Completely detest quora .
The sad thing is there are questions on Quora that are worth asking and hosting on a general site without having to find a specific Stack Exchange, subreddit, forum, etc. but the non-answers on Quora are written by living parodies of Medium blogspam
deleted quora bcs so much toxic and negative info was spread yet you are here on blind?
I feel similarly frustrated when Google search links to a result on Quora and then they make you sign in to read any other related questions they show. I would have used their site more, but now it just irritates so I avoid it as much as possible.
I agree - I remember I got an interview from Quora back in 2015 and it was really stupid hard. Site really is just Yahoo Answers v2 💀
Also I think Quora is a perfect example of the zero interest rate tech bubble. Highly respected unicorn(?) just because Silicon Valley types liked it and it had a lot of content. No apparent business model. Reminds me of Clubhouse but at least podcasts/audio streaming can make money. But the hype was so baseless, no one expected Yahoo Answers or Stack Overflow/Stack Exchange to be unicorns. So why Quora?
Yahoo Answers clapped hard though, it was casual and full of humor as opposed to crappy quota influencers trying to sound smart
Zoom is bad, but the place I hear the worst things about rn is Robinhood
I also hear Clubhouse was both miserable and had freakishly high interview standards. From friends who worked there.
Why is Robinhood bad?
Are you ok?
No, I tried looking something up on Quora
very ok
