Indian currently stuck in the backlog since 2011. Option 1 Leave US for place that offers more knowledge and growth and maybe come back on EB1. Option 2 Keep waiting while the sun shines since all the stock keeps going up Option 3 EB5? Considered but rejected -Not planning to spend 500k and buy the GC with an EB5 since with US born kids i get a GC anyhow in < 20 years now. EB5 also has additional +50-100k in lawyers fees What's everyone else thinking?
Option2. Probably will hit the eject button and head back in a couple of years.
Option 4: leave US. Never come back
Thanks :) It's not a bad option since i've already made myself eligible for Social Security after 10+ years of working here. I could go work someplace else and get social security from there too :P
Perfect! I’m glad you understand. So tired of immigrants complaining that they don’t benefit by paying social security tax. They don’t benefit because they don’t stay here long enough.
I don’t care if HR392 passes or not. I am applying for Canadian PR the moment I start my full time job after I graduate. Will use my OPT happily and gtfo to Canada.
Can you gtfo right away?
No dickhead. I have co-ops to complete, a masters degree to complete , OPT to use and then gtfo.
Canadin/Australian PR
If you think any legal immigration reform will pass Congress, you really have learned nothing about the US. Either leave or get married. There aren’t really that many options.
There’s always money in the banana stand!
Her?
You have to go back.
My guess is that the majority will keep waiting for their fad to become current while others join the queue by filing new PERMs. Anyone think anything different?
Won't it screw the rest of the queue
Why do you want to live in the US? If there’s really no other option, couldn’t you leave and work in an international country for 1 year and come back on L1? I thought it’s easier path from L1 to Gc? Of course this is considering if you’re an L6+ manager
L1(B) does not have an easier path L1A might, but you must be a people manager (most functional managers are seeing denials now). Anyways that’s about EB1 priority and it’s completely unrelated to L1 visas. That is: you could be here on a L1A as functional manager and still apply for GC in EB3.
