I thought scientifically, it's easier to read things with white background
If you stare at a screen for too many hours a day it can hurt your eyes. Also dark mode just looks cooler.
It's just soothing to eyes. My IDE, terminal and Reddit are all dark themed, can't imagine white background for them
Don't care either way. Though FB Nuclide IDE is black, so I gotta use it.
First thing i did was to cha ge the theme to light
Saves battery in (AM)OLED displays. Dark mode is potentially healthier on eyes and looks better.
My eyes don't get tired even after many hours of coding with dark background unlike with white. I actually use complete black wherever I can. It surely has to do with the amount of light emitted. Even on my phone I keep the brightness to less than half.
