What's this mess with Uber and Ola?

Hey Uber/Ola PMs, what's the exact issue with Uber and Ola drivers rejecting/cancelling rides based on the mode of payment and destination in India? Even though Ola introduced Destination sharing with drivers, it isn't helping at all. Main problems shared by drivers when I talk to them is around Payment settlement from you and lesser incentives. I wonder why payments are still weekly given that we are in the age of instant money transfers! These folks have to meet the ends meet, they struggle a lot. You folks used drivers and riders to build the market and now you are at a faster rate in destroying the same with bad user experience. #tech #ola #uber #commute

Drivers are getting greedy as well, give them actual money+ 200 or they are gonna cancel it.

No one has ever asked me for more money. It's just that they say they prefer same cash, sometimes even ₹10/₹20 less is fine

Yeah true

Not sure why we are not able to fix this. I have used Uber in 7-8 different countries and experience at each country was better than what I found in India(especially in NCR and Bangalore). Probably paying out drivers at a more regular cadence might help.

Yeah, payment is the main concern expressed by drivers.
