I have worked on c# and java before but i am finding scala super cryptic language and very tough to understand. One glace at the code gives me no clue on whats it is actually doing, forget functionality.
Yeah scala is hard to learn but once you learn it its way better than java
Sexiest programming language once you get the hang of it. I prefer to write all my spark code in Scala, but most people prefer pyspark.
I prefer scala too for spark, but because it is strongly typed. I don’t like all the fancy stuff in scala.
Roku uses scala?
Its quite easy man. Just see the basics data types and oop syntax. Rest all are same.
Lol
whats funny?
Love Scala.
hard, but totally worth it
Language for people who like to invent artificial problems instead of solving real problems. Same with Clojure
I have written lot of java and c# code but this scala sucks.Even python node.js was way easier
How long did you work in Scala?
Scala has a steep learning curve but once you get it its very enjoyable to code. IMO it made me write better Java/Kotlin. There are design patterns that you have to implement yourself in Java that are 1 liners in Scala. (Data type classes, singleton pattern, etc.)
May be, but i am finding it way hard to implement the logic. So many cryptic -.* and what not. 😎
yea Ive seen that I think comments and good variable naming are 2 practices that are neglected in every language

It has a slight learning curve but it's super enjoyable to code in Scala once you get the hang of it.
