Made a mistake. "< 800 && >= 825" Should be " >= 800 && < 825"
828, 4 years 10 months avg credit age. I’m 26 years old. 17 accounts total (mostly credit cards). 10 open accounts and 7 closed.
818 on an 850 scale and 836 on a 900 scale. 28 years old, 21 accounts total; 4 open lines of credit totaling about 30k, 1 closed credit card, 2 open loans, 14 closed loans. Average age of credit is 6yrs4mos. Overall utilization is never more than 3% typically.
What kind of loans do u have open and closed?
Only student loans. My loans were bought out by a different federal student loan servicer so I got twice the accounts out of it without any hurt on my credit really.
Who cares when you won’t be taking out debt the rest of your life.
Credit scores aren’t only used for taking out debt. It’s also commonly used for apartment rentals, utilities, cell phone service, insurance companies, etc. With a low score you’ll either need to put down a deposit, pay higher rates, or be turned down.
I’m guessing that the marginal effect for someone who has paid off his debt given that also typically means you have a high income.
According to equifax and trans union I’m at 813, according to Experian I’m at 837
The key is having longer credit history than you've been alive. Make sure your parents add you early on so you inherit their history.
Early on —> what age?
Age matters less, most will get a card around 16 but then inherit decades of history from their parents.
I've had credit scores ranging from 630 up to 810. My oldest account is 23 years. I have a credit card I place everything on during the course of the month to get the points for airfare and travel. Vehicle is paid off. Saving up to purchase a house.
I don’t want a credit score
Did anyone ask if u want one?
