I’ve been accepted to the Oregon State University post-bacc in CS and will 95% chose it (well waiting for a few masters decisions but heard the BS is better). I’ll be transferring in a few classes so I’ll be junior status and intend to formally start classes in June. When should I start applying to internships and how should I list it in on my resume since I won’t have GPA? Should I wait to add it after the first quarter? TC: 105k YOE: 4 Bellevue, WA
sde postings start early to mid july for next year summer intern roles. Apply as soon as you come across job posts.
Curious for the reasoning why the BS>Masters?
Well, my BS+MS is in civil engineering. I figured I’ll learn more CS breadth in the bachelors and the bachelors is the better degree. It also leaves the option for getting a masters open in the future where I can focus on topics that actually are helpful to advance in my career as opposed to just trying to replicate CS breadth. The post-bacc is 15 classes on the quarter system and I should be able to transfer in 4 which means I’ll have 11 classes and be able to finish it faster than I will a masters.
