Received an offer from Amazon and recruiter confirmed that I’ve passed background check. Tentative start date is 3/16 but recruiter said I can push it back by if I want. She also said I should email her if I don’t receive the official offer to sign in MyDocs by Tuesday. I’d like to take a week off between jobs if possible. What should I do? TC 🍌
Always have the offer signed and official before resigning. Unless you want a counter-offer of course...
The reason I say this is because you dont want the offer to suddenly fall through when you’ve already resigned... that would be awkward.
Yeah definitely, thanks for the advice. I’m in a weird situation at work rn and want to get out ASAP (but not because I hate the team or the work) so that’s why I’m eager to sign and give notice

What about your new offer?
@atMu08 - when did you get the email from Accurate Background to start the check? What was asked in the consent email - did you have to provide any information? How long did it take from the background check to receive the final offer? I got the offer via Mydocs and signed with a tentative start date of 3/16 as well but haven’t received email from Accurate Background yet.
My timeline is: 2/17 received comp info and offer letter in pdf (but did not have to sign it) 2/18 accepted offer via email 2/19 received accurate background email at like 2am, the portal showed “ready to view” by 9am, and I got my report from them later that day saying no criminal record found 2/20 emailed HM to expedite the process 2/21 recruiter emailed me saying I should email her if I don’t receive the mydocs stuff by next Tuesday
For anyone who found this post at a later date- I got my mydocs email today, exactly 3 weeks before my proposed start date.
Thanks for updating!
Thanks for updating!
Congrats ! Also waiting for my background check to be complete
Are you not already at amazon 😳
Or are you going to a better company
How long did it take from the accurate report to getting the okay from the recruiter to move forward?
Bonus question to people who’ve started recently/starting soon @ Amazon: when did you get your offer/terms of employment to sign in mydocs and when is your start date?
