Rising sophomore at a HYPSM halfway thru a SWE internship at Two Sigma. I thought my project was somewhat interesting, but I don't think I want to pursue quant finance as a career (I ideally want to be a founder). I want to use college as an opportunity to gain a lot of breadth and exposure to different interesting areas in tech so I can best position myself to be a future founder. What companies that offer internships for undergrads are doing the most interesting/impactful work in tech? Currently looking at DeepMind, Google X, and Palantir FDSWE. Thanks! #tech #twosigma #intern
Doesn't deepmind internship requires you to be in PhD program?
No their SWE and research engineering internships are open to undergrads
Albertson’s
The 2sigma freshman internship isn't really a full internship experience. Since you don't wanna do Quant, just go to any tech company you find interesting.
What aspects of it are lacking compared to normal internships?
JP Morgan
Feel free to reach out to me if you have any general questions about Palantir
will do!
Mega chad name op💪
Maybe take a look at more mid sized/smaller startups, not sure bigger tech companies will get you what you’re looking for either tbh.. feel free to dm me if you wanna chat more
Clg?
