I have some savings which I got from a house sale. What is a good investment? I hear people making 10% returns. I barely do 1%. May be I am being too conservative or not investing in the right stock. #personalfinance #investments TC 300k.
Put 150k into VTSAX, SPY, or something of the sort. Put 50k into some stocks you like. Like Tesla 🤠
TECL and SOXL have carried me for the last 5 years
I’m actually going to start investing into these what have returns looked like ? Must be insane right? Is there still potential
It’s volatile so I’d probably advise on waiting to buying during a dip. Major corrections are a good entry point. Usually has been bad when I go in at all time highs
Put a good chunk in the S&P 500 / VOO / VT / QQQ, a little in bonds and then play around with a small amount. Just know when to cut your losses. The big chunk- just leave it there, nothing beats time in the market
You can earn interest on your USD using stablecoins like USDC, GUSD, BUSD. BlockFi is offering 7.5% APY. You can use the referral: https://blockfi.com/?ref=743a19be
Wait out. Seriously we are at all time high for all assets. You might make a 3-5% for now. Wait to find the right value. You will be well rewarded.

Depending on your tolerance to volatility, gold and silver are undervalued now, and so are their respective mining stocks; it has been a very hated asset class for quite some time. GDX has potential to more than double in the next 5 years but it is very volatile, SIL maybe even more, but you must be able to stomach volatility. If not, stay away..
Buy good yielding rental properties.
I follow this rule of thumb. Index funds and tech stocks if you need access to money anytime. Returns can vary since it is mostly appreciation, not great cashflow, no tax benefits. Completely passive if time is a constraint. Real estate if you're time horizon is longer (5+ yrs). Can get decent cashflow plus appreciation totalling 12-15% annually. Tax benefits. Takes time. However there are ways to invest passively into larger deals. Robo advisors can be good with some even providing tax loss harvesting. Bonds and savings are getting eaten by inflation right now. My 2 cents.
What do you suggest if time horizon is long but no good knowledge of either stocks or real estate. (Also will need a house in future. How to go abt learning real estate investing? Thx)
Start educating yourself in both areas. Stock investing has more resources than I can list here depending on your strategy. Long term vs trading. For real estate education, you're welcome to DM me and I can send you a few resources and books that helped me get started.
