Curious from Snowflake employees, where they see the company’s trajectory. Seems like competition will heat up from amzn, msft, goog, and databricks. Does Snowflake have a durable competitive advantage?
Dumpster
Melted
Snowflakes will surely melt due to climate change.
Ive seen many snowflakes in 10 years
Is this a snow joke or *hyped* tech companies comment
Yes
You mean blind snowflakes??
Boston, New York etc where we have snowflake if not blizzard during winter. But hard to predict after 10 years due to global warming
Become blizzard
At first, I was disappointed in myself for not seeing what this thread would become. Now, I’m enjoying the ride. Glad to see theres plenty of dads on blind
Let's start with the basics. They need to breakeven first (last I checked their income statement they are bleeding money); yes I understand their technology is great. If they don't get their books in order they'll be put up for sale in the next few years or go into "maintenance" mode (say like a Pure Storage)
They're just investing in their growth
@datasaur At some point in future you cannot use the excuse of "growth". The point of a business is to make profit, not just growth. If none of this growth is getting them towards profit then it's curtains for a lot of the employees.
In 10 years they’ll be a Salesforce
RIP
You feel the same?
