Where to buy sfh in East Bay area?
I'm commuting to SF financial district currently. Hoping that Oakland continues to attract tech companies like Square if I buy in the east bay. I've been looking at Oakland and San Leandro, any suggestions? Looking for price under 750K for 3 bed SFH TC 280 4 yoe

Lots of people move to west oakland. You can get a place e-scooter distance from west oakland BART for much less than SF. You can then go into SF or back to oakland downtown or uptown.

Why 3 bedroom? If you have a family and need the 3 bedroom then schools are shit in Oakland. 3 bd at 750k is tough anywhere close to sf. Would likely be west or east Oakland, San Leandro, or maybe something in western Castro Valley where you could drive to the Bayfair station so you can hit multiple different bart trains...
Seems like san leandro is perfect balance of commute and price and safety 😮 West oak too exp East oak too dangerous SL has nice parts and SL Bart Station seems safer than Bayfair Station Western Castro Valley kinda like the shitty in between hayward/good part of cv
