How’s capitalism going?
Vanguard is a little complicated to understand. Could someone please explain in simple steps on how to buy s&p 500? Have 10k to invest.
Buy a stock called spy
Buy bitcoin
Robinhood
Fidelity
If you can invest over 10k then buy VFIAX. It is the Vanguard S&P 500 admiral with lower fees. If you don’t have 10k to invest then buy VFINX. It’s the regular Vanguard version with slightly higher fees. You can buy these using fidelity or any other broker.
Yes, this is exactly what I did. +1
Through any brokerage, including vanguard, but also Robinhood or any other, buy VOO. That is the Vanguard ETF that invests in the S&P500. Or do what C# said if you open the account directly with Vanguard and you prefer to own a mutual fund. It doesn't really make a difference. There are no fees to buy VOO at either Vanguard or Robinhood, but there would be at other brokers.
Vanguard has low fee funds that cover this
How is vanguard complicated? You either trade vanguard etf anywhere or you can trade their mutual funds through a vanguard account.
IVV or VTI
Check out QQQ instead. It's an ETF more heavily wrighted towards tech companies so has been performing much better
