I'm at 14 YOE as a tech consultant, majority with IBM. I work mostly with with search/ai/nlp type stuff. I'm wondering which companies hire for consulting type roles. Had 6 rounds of interviews at Google for a gtech consultant job but was ultimately rejected. Was told I'm "not technical enough" Had a referral to FB from the VP of AI (I worked for his previous startup) for an architect role but for a cold rejection. Amazon just blindly rejects me even though they keep posting for positions in my area. Elastic wouldn't match my comp. Applied for a solutions architect consulting role at Microsoft in my area. Yet to hear back. I'm going to do hackerrank for twilio this weekend. Any non-FAANGS with decent comp that hire client facing tech consultants? I'd prefer remote but travel to client sites as needed.
