My 401k got recked this year by having allocations to only FBGRX, FSMDX and I’m now at a 30% loss YTD What other allocations do u suggest now that recession is under way? Should I get out completely from my existing 2 position s?
FBGRX is pretty solid, stay invested. It’s well-managed fund!
If the price is low you can rebalance from bonds to stocks to get cheap stocks. Buy low, sell high, right? But you don't own any bonds. They're on sale too, start by buying some bonds and leaving the existing equities alone. Now you're prepared for next time.
Fxaix Or fskax if u want to diversify more
FXAIX
I am 65% FXAIX, 35% FSENX rn and auto buying at 80% 20%. FSENX is an energy sector mutual fund. Will roll it back into 100% FXAIX after energy rips. Also considering adding a bond fund.
I was on a stable interest fund and made 2.x while everything else crashed
Everything has been recked this year. I have some in FBGRX (10%). But most of mine is in FXAIX (70-80%). I hate spending 1% fee on FBGRX just to lose more than the S&P. But I stomach some of it in there because it has often won more than the S&P on up years.
