Which car to buy and lease vs buy

Budget - $55K Need seven seater Leaning towards Palisade as it feels more updated from inside and 100k/ 10 year warranty What do you folks recommend? Tc - 300k Never leased but with high interest rate considering it and based on the criteria I could fit into leasing terms ~30K/3 year limit. Which one has better resale?

Don’t lease, buy a car with cash. They’re all good choices.

Yeah, with that TC , don't lease buy. All are good choices. If you aren't worried about driving a minivan , consider those as well.

It's the best for your needs. I think it even has a buit in vacuum. And sliding doors are 👌

I LOVE my Atlas!! 3rd row can comfortably sit adults under 6ft, front is roomy and perfect for my 6’6” hubs without impeding the kid sitting behind him, and there’s plenty of cargo space. Those were the biggest selling points for me. Most 3rd row SUVs have abysmal cargo, which doesn’t work if you have kids. We opted out of the Telluride/Palisade because the dealers were (I bought in 2022) significantly charging over MSRP…like $15K+ and they were having tons of mechanical issues. And the cargo space was a no for me. I got a SEL with all the features I wanted and out the door for $51,500 w/3% rate. I wasn’t gonna beat that with any other car manufacturer. And they cover all service for the first 30k miles. Then in late 2023 we bought a Tiguan as a commuter car and had the same great experience. Paid just under MSRP and 3.9% interest through VW, which was a promo if you took a 23 model off the lot vs springing for the 24’. We’re VW for life now. Bought both cars and will run them into the ground. Only reason we had to buy 2 back-to-back is because our old vehicles were 18 and 15yrs old and beyond repair.

VW cause ton of issues after they get a bit old

A decade+ ago I would’ve agreed. But they have higher reliability ratings now than all their competitors, even Toyota. Maintenance costs can be higher. But I’d rather pay a little more in maintenance for longevity/reliability personally.

Palisade & Telluride are basically identical. Get whichever one you can get a better deal on. We have a 1st gen palisade and love it.

Lucid motors...I'm not kidding

I don't like my Palisade, look at XC90 instead

Dont buy it if you are in the bay. Horrible service centers and bunch of software issues
