I feel quite underwhelmed by the opportunities I have at work nowadays. I learned some nice things given that I was inexperienced out of college so far, but the projects I work on have reached a maturity point where most of the major reusable functions are built and any new features we add into our app won't teach me anything new. I compare my responsibilities with the senior developers in my team and there's not that much of a distinction. Everything boils down to just making an API call or DB query and manipulating that data or consuming it. For frontend, since the design needs to be consistent, it also means not much new work to be done thanks to reusable design. Anyways, the prospects of FAANG doesn't sound that great due to various reports of it being high pressure/low WLB/being PIPd. I just want a decently established startup or big tech company that doesn't make you jump through as many interview hoops.
