The end of Backdoor Roth?!
I have given interviews with TSMC(role: PD), Synopsys(AE) and Accenture(PD). Expecting offers from all of them. Which should I choose from both TC and career growth perspective? #hardware #tsmc #synopsys #accenture
Tsmc roles in US are kind of lame. No prospect for growth. Would not recommend. If must pick 1 out of 3, probably go with Synopsys
But wouldn’t going into EDA is bad for your career growth? Atleast the role at TSMC is a PD role.
But once you go into PD, it’ll be hard to move out
At tsmc u will work for apple with less pay and less respect
I see. Wouldn’t it be a nice stepping stone if I want to get into Apple later?
I think they cant hire u for an year or two after u leave tsmc
Whats the accenture role about?
It is a PD role
TSMC sounds better of the lot. Unless synopsys role is for IP team and not AE role
Synopsys role is a sr AE role and TSMC is sr PD role. What TC can I expect for a sr AE role at Synopsys?
What's your YOE ?
Career growth in these three companies are jokes. Just take the offer with highest numbers
Really? Doesn’t it depend on practice?
Tsmc
None
Which company would you suggest for PD?
Design houses like NVIDIA, AMD and qcomm should be good for PD
