#software #engineering #swe 1. Azure Identity engineering team 2. Azure Networking team
avoid azure
Both sound boring
That's weird and whats exciting to you?
Between the two, identity.
Azure networking will teach you a shit ton of things… at the expense of WLB. My advice would be to avoid Azure altogether.
What do you mean at expense of WLB?
They mean you will have poor work life balance and in exchange would learn a lot. This might be frequently true for networking. Identity can vary all across, some teams would have a decent work life balance where as others would have less. We in identity have super supportive leadership if people want to excel and grow. I am sure that might be true for networking as well depending upon the team. 'Avoid azure' is bad advice in my opinion. Yes there are parts of azure that might drain your wlb. Not all are like that, and some one early in their career should learn at both. The opposite is rest and vest kinda situation, that's not the case in most of azure and for good
Azure Networking is a very big org and has several teams ranging from super shitty to really good. It really depends on the team you get here. No idea about Azure Identity
The identity guys I know all seem really cool. They definitely work harder than my group but their product is a lot more technical. I don’t know much about networking
What do you mean by product more technical? Which of two will be good for an early career professional for SDE1?
Can you explain a bit about what makes their product more technical
