See title. My internship return offer from Meta was significantly higher than I was expecting (300k first year, 250k recurring), so I'm reconsidering a lot of the companies that I was initially planning on applying to. There are SWE roles at quant firms that can beat this TC, but if anyone has leads on jobs in tech that I should be applying to, I'd be very appreciative. TC: See title EDIT: TC breakdown was 138+10% base, 220k/4 stock, 100k signing. I computed pay as 152+220/4+100 ≈ 300 first-year, or 152+220/4+100/4 ≈ 250 recurring.
Phd?
I'm a BS/MS, this is an IC3 offer. PhD IC4 offers should be at least 50k higher, but I'm not sure given the hiring freeze.
It's insane what new grads are getting offered.
Since it's higher than you were expecting, you are reconsidering? What more do you need?
Take it.
Believe Citadel/Jane can go up to 350 recurring now
I have a JS SWE interview coming up next week, and I'll be applying to Citadel soon—would definitely love to get an offer from either ^^
Forget applying to other jobs. Enjoy your last year of college and take that Meta offer!
Congrats OP!
Pretty crazy, my first job during 08 was 30k
Same, it was less $/hour than my part time waiter job.
