Best car ever. Sporty, practical, looks great, EV life is great with at-home-charging. 10/10 would do again. It’s also appreciated in value!

What about the S? I hear also that the range numbers they give are BS. Is this true?

Great

Feels kind of cheap for what it cost. Would rather get a BMW X4 or Audi. Not looking to race people. Coasting in luxury is better IMO.

I have an x3 m40i ordered a Tesla as a reaction to gas prices and now waffling on it.

But don’t BMWs and Audis have horrible reliability?

Have both 3 performance and Y performance. The Y does not seem stable compared to the 3, handling is much better on the 3. My girl says the Y makes her feel safer, so I guess my driving is a little too spirited on M3 Both cars are sluggish above 70 mph… if u dabble at those speeds 70-120 mph, the S plaid is better My taycan arrived after the 3 and before the Y. Still hands down the best experience compared to any teslas. Except for charging during road trips lol

Dont get it if you want to use more than just driving around in your neighborhood. Car is fast however range is shit. I get maybe 200miles on a full charge making roadtrips impossible and more expensive since charge rates on highway are 0.58 kw

Lol none of this is accurate. I actually own one and drive 30-50 miles daily and have gone on 6 road trips of 8-10 hours each. It’s true the stated range is in extremely unlikely best case scenarios. In practice I get ~75% of stated range. But on road trips supercharging is so easy, relatively fast, and still much cheaper than gas. I average $0.20 per kw at superchargers. And just $0.05 at home.

PayPal PenPalz Sep 15, 2022

100% accurate if you live in california. Supercharge off peak hour rates are 0.58 kW which are all offpeak hours when you drive anywhere outside a city (aka roadtrips). Also if you drive god forbid 75mph+ then your range takes a huge dip which is normal driving speed.

Love it. Not perfect (small panel gaps, crap turning radius, HVAC controls are frustrating) but the pros greatly outweigh the cons (acceleration, storage, autopilot, tech).
