Jassy is playing the long game. Amazon has far more resources + talent to divert towards AI in the long-term. Jassy also made a smart bet by investing in Anthropic, which is benefiting from the OpenAI chaos. In the short-term, Satyaβs winning brownie points but Amazon is going to be creating their own LLMβs/AI platform versus relying on a complex corporate structure for their enterprise initiatives.
