Who is the Reddit user base?

I follow some hobby groups and my local community pages on Reddit. It’s all just noise though I had to delete the app. Who are these people arguing on Reddit all day 😂 Location based groups are always a shit show online so can’t hate too much there but even Facebook groups are a much higher quality place to get info and discuss hobbies. And I usually associate Facebook with being the worst social media.

Facebook is not anonymous. Reddit is anonymous, and that makes people behave like assholes because they think no one would know who they are.

Once a fat guy next to me on an airplane was on reddit from his laptop the whole time.

This was just a description. Not a judgement. Calm down. Haven’t you ever read a book in your life?

I subscribe to a dozen or so sub-reddits. All of which are great quality, and provide me with much value. I completely avoid the useless, noisy ones.

I completely agree Reddit is not yet very easy to use social media for average users like others where recommendation engine takes care of removing noises but we are trying and getting there. Nevertheless, I bet that the information you will find at Reddit regarding your search wont be available anywhere, we just need to shifts through the noise for now.

It’s true. I often append ‘Reddit’ to my search engine searches to see real human discussion. But yeah, browsing the app directly it’s just lots of users locked in petty back and forth arguments which is 👎. I think you all should remove the downvote button personally
