Washington although doesn’t have state tax on your paycheck but there are other taxes. There used to be LNI (labor & industries) tax and starting this year there’s another tax - paid family & medical leave (PFML) that equates to 0.4% of your gross up to $132,900. Not to forget almost everything is taxed at 10.1% of sale price. I also heard & read, WA LNI makes it extremely difficult to file claim for work related injuries. Then what’s the use of paying premium from your paycheck when it’s so difficult to get paid? Is your employer deducting PFML tax from your paycheck?
Blue state policies.
Lol nobody said!
Have you heard of California?
You should donate more since you love it so much!
There are other taxes that we’ll exceed California income tax.
Seattle started having soda tax and it’s raking in multi million dollars every year, more than what they anticipated. Apparently they crossed the annual estimates within 1st three quarters of 2018. Politicians & municipalities are finding ways to charge taxes & so called insurances.
Not to forget about transit tax for next 20 years of so. 1.1% of your car value each year plus annual registration tax.
I’m paying over $30K CA state income tax for 2018. And there are other random taxes I have to pay in addition to that.
Still not like CA. I heard CA is considering taxes on sms/texting.
Yes. They are deducting PFML tax from my paycheck

Nobody said Washington is tax free. We are income tax free.
