Modi is a legend, will be remembered for centuries to come
It looks like no one can touch the TC at Netflix or Stripe from the offers I’m seeing.
Very hard to compare cash with stock. But on a risk-adjusted basis, it's absolutely Netflix. (Given similar interest in your skills, i.e. excluding a case where some team in Roblox needs EXACTLY you, but Netflix just wants a good engineer)
Yes on guaranteed pay. But the right startup can put you far ahead of the pack
Netflix is hight paying in the middle bands but not really Adobe the 600-700k wall. Then it's Airbnb, stripe, Insta and Roblox in that order. But rblx is probably a better stock then all 4 of them if you consider future potential and current valuation
With the public/private market divergence underway, private companies planning to IPO some day are riskier than ever.
What divergence are you talking about? Inflationary conditions making it unattractive for private companies to IPO?
Public companies had a chance to take a well-deserved beating after a hyperbolic run-up in 2020/2021 with the Fed tampering. After the beatdowns they are now positioned for success for the future. Private companies also had a hyperbolic run-up - how many startups raised a boatload of money on even higher valuations - but they’ve had no chance to deflate. So the only way to do that will be to IPO, and get instantly slammed.
Stripe and Instacart are overvalued private paper. Look at how the stocks dropped for Block, PayPal, and DoorDash. Their stock would likely be down 40-50% if they were public. Netflix seems to pay the most real money, at least for senior level.
At this point, if the comp is reasonably close, you should pick the company you believe in most cause it looks like next few months/years may be a bit unpredictable
