George Hotz decided to dump AMD for NVDA and Intel, citing firmware/driver issues. Those have long been the weak point of AMD GPU compared to NVDA's, standing in the way of adoption. Why does it seem to receive very little attention, still? Do they even acknowledge the problem? Are there no SW talents working for AMD? NVDA deserves to be the king https://wccftech.com/tinycorp-ditches-amd-tinybox-ai-package-opt-for-nvidia-or-intel-options/
And this is why AMD will lose out in the long run. Nvidia’s drivers just work. Although AMD sports some serious architecture these days to compete with Nvidia (at least with gaming), some of their drivers and support leave much to be desired. TC: 105K
I don't disagree with this
"free isn't cheap enough (for AMD)" -NVDA I thought it was marketing. But now I realized it's true.
