I find it as best strategy because 1) you keep your heads down and then wow everyone. 2) The buzz and wait increase when there is no info. Dead silence. 3) When there are leaks it says, the news around it proves that this strategy is good. But it disappoints when there is nothing surprizing at the end. So, if there is a great surprizing wow factor behind the silence, it is good. But I would like to understand why people inside APple hate it. #tech
Because most teams are kept in the dark to ensure confidentiality. Even those who need to know about the launch, to do their job well

Why? I'm ready to learn from my mistakes. Please point out.
How do you cooperate and allow new ideas to flourish when you don’t know what others are doing?
They trust very few to come up with the new ideas. The Rest are kept in the dark and not trusted to contribute to building better products. What’s worse is the intense hierarchy that dictates how information flows. Very much unlike Google/other tech cos. But a lot of employees (esp non eng ) come from manufacturing/old school companies and are used to it/don’t question it.
That’s why I don’t even apply. I feel eng in Google does not think about the product either and that bothers me already.
