Cyber truck killer: Chinese version of EV truck
Because most countries in europe (at least western) are socialists so the state is responsible for free school, healthcare and retirement.. So it has to tax like hell to fund all of these. For your second question it depends of the country in EU and the state in the US.. what I can say for msft for instance is that 90k base salary in France translates to 175k base salary in seattle area. As I did not moved in yet I can't compare but except for the real estate prices that is awful there, cost of life does not look more expensive in seattle area than in Paris
Yeah. Brace yourself for real estate.
So a direct level compensation would make sense in your opinion? Merci
The key is to work for a remote US company for US wage but frequently fly to Europe. Then you don’t have to pay European taxes for services you likely won’t use.
Because you have less expenses in Europe because your government actually cares about the health and education of its citizens, so the money goes farther
Here in Germany healthcare is “public” but I pay 500 euros a month for it and when I’m sick all I get is paracetamol and 2 weeks off work. With education I agree, didn’t have to pay anything from kindergarten to MSc
Same, I pay too band insurance in Germany due to income, but still can’t access a psychiatrist or a dentist (and have to pay all out of pocket) because waiting times are months if not years.
No competition whatsoever. Investments are little to none in comparison. European big money preferred real estate , luxury brands and luxury tourism for investments. A lot of big corporations are still family owned . Entitled sons and daughters of kingdoms do not throw money to something that they do not understand. Big industrials are partially state owned and we all know that those are not a good way for meritocracy. Spotify was one of the few companies that succeeded ; should say it all. Also people are very stupid in accepting change , look at brexit. So many reasons. Imho Asia is miles ahead.
Direct to the point. Here everything is slow 🐌 and working harder doesn’t bring more compensation unfortunately.
Agree. It’s about social mobility which was one of the founding principles of the democracy in the United Kingdom and the United States.
my TC is 130k in 🇩🇪
But that is not common is it?
Still 🥜 in comparison
Socialism vs capitalism
My TC is 100k gross in Estonia, with 22% flat tax rate. So about 78k netto. Still less than the cheapest US state wage
With that TC and Estonia COL you are doing ok
Holy shit. Mine is 85K with 43% tax 😢
Because you’re paid in smugness.
this post not getting enough attention and some random asshar writing troll post will get featured
Isn’t it always like this? Lol
sadly yes...
You get more protein may be ?
😂 funny! Are you single by any chance?
