I used Nexus 4 and loved it. After that, I bought pixel 6 pro and now 7 pro. The devices are just not what you expect at that price range and from google. They have a range of very common issues like over heating, call quality, lag and stuttering. I got these from google store. Anytime i contact them with any issues, they just offer me a refurbished device replacement even if its literally 1 month after the purchase. Pixel buds are a failure and now the watch. What the heck is google hardware team even doing? They might as well outsource it to a chinese knockoff manufacturer and no one can feel a thing. Just a random Saturday night rant. 7 pro is my last pixel phone 200k + paper money. 6yoe #google #hardware #pixel #android
Switch to snapdragon.
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/08/02/pixel-6-will-have-processor-designed-by-google.html https://9to5google.com/2021/11/17/pixel-6-modem-analysis/ Curiously samsungs own top end phones use qualcomm chipsets
Which are far better than those pixels.
It's just lack of effort, i own Pixel 6 and quality wise it's comparable to phones 3-4 years old. Fingerprint sensor, speakers etc. are all things that anyone involved with the project would have definitely seen when using it. And yet, they felt comfortable in releasing such a device, it clearly shows there is just no effort put in the phone.
Exactly. Whenever i talk to support, somehow i feel like they know all these issues beforehand and are trained to play dumb. Probably non existent QA and they just rotate those refurbished devices to every complaint
What android phones manufacturers are even out there that's good? I hate Samsung for their bloat, and my first trial with OnePlus 9 is really bad. Nokia doesn't do flagships, htc and lg are gone. If pixel sucks also, what the hell is left?
Samsung is good. The S10 I got didn't have much bloat. It eventually degrades in battery and performance but the phone is otherwise solid. But they seem to be cutting corners with their base flagships. Like weaker haptics on the upcoming S23 etc. Mkbhd did a good video on the S22 which highlights everything right that Samsung seems to be doing. The new Sony seems to check all the boxes but it's expensive and not widely available.
Asus zenfone 9?
Just buy an iPhone. I switched from a LG phone in 2014 to an iPhone and have never had to look back. This is my third iPhone (14 Pro) and the only reason I upgraded each one is because I wanted to buy the newer versions and not because the old ones had issues. Always use a good body guard/cover for the phone so that your screen doesn’t crack (which will inevitably happen with iPhones if left unprotected).
I use pixel5 and it's pretty good
Also on a pixel 5 and going strong. I probably am also not the target demo for top tier phones, either. Not everyone has the same needs.
Just buy a top end Samsung
Buy an iPhone and stop worrying about phones. It’s not worth the time fixing buggy phones.
Sheep herd buying iphones
I got the Google ear buds paired with my Samsung phone and pretty happy. They connect right up fast no problem. Sound is good. They adjust automatically in high noise conditions.
I would target mid range phones which has most of the ✔️ ticked but you would not pay that much to be disappointed. Example: Samsung S10 lite (using for 3 years without any issue or feeling backdated)
